VADEX Drill
This drill held in October of 1994at the Dayton International Air Port, was a joint exercise with the DIAP, DMAT, local hospitals and other local agencies. The team camped out Friday night in one of the buildings close by and had evening training in preperation for the exercise the next day. The exercise was a success.

The compound goes up Friday afternoon.  Using the two GP Medium and one GP small tents we had obtained from the DMRO, the compound contained command, commo, red and blue/green medical areas.

 Piecing the GP-Medium ridgepole together.

An early morning view of the compound on Saturday morning as preperations were being made for the actual drill.

The VA Hospital litter bus was used  to train with and and to transport mock victims during the drill. The bus can hold 8 litter victims and 8 walk-on victims. The bus is on loan to the DMAT anytime it deploys or trains.

Off-loading the litter bus.

The national guard participated and transported a couple of DMAT members to the VA hospital. The IVs were real! Ouch.
