History
Saturday, August 21, 1999
On vacation to Philadelphia, Sid received a page
from NDMS in Rockville, MD, requesting he be activated. The member
then drove to Rockville and arrived Saturday afternoon at the NDMS headquarters.
Saturday night, MST elements leave for Texas.
Sunday, August 22, 1999
Bret hit the Texas coast on Sunday afternoon. TX-1
is fully deployed with fill from NM-1, and CA-4. Word is that KY-1,
CA-9 and PHS-1 have been placed on Advisory should more resources be needed.
We believe the MST is functioning around the clock. Commo Sid stayed
in Rockville to help Ross Merlin.
Monday, August 23, 1999
Hurricane damage have been reported as light. This
is in part due to the fact that the hurricane came ashore during low tide
and into a sparsely populated region of Texas.
Tuesday, August 24, 1999
All teams have been deactivated and are being sent home.
MST personnel are expected to be leaving this evening. Sid leaves
Rockville, MD to continue his trip.
