Deployment History
This is an annual event for the Dayton DMAT.  Setup of the compound was conducted on Friday while we manned the compound on Saturday and Sunday.  Heat related problems were typical, although we saw several "sunscreen in the eye" situations.  We were stationed at the main transportation gate and most problems were with leaving visitors.  Numbers of patients were down this year as we had fewer attendees, a nice breeze and a lot of water available at numerous locations.

As in years past personnel from the Dayton VA were invited to join team members at our compound.  In addition,  three members of the OH-1 Communications Group also joined us for the weekend. 

Although the safety of the Airshow participants was our primary goal, having and enjoyable time was the secondary goal.  The relaxed sheltered atmosphere, the airshow and the good fellowship was enjoyed by all.

The white tent was the triage station while the GP Medium served as patient holding and examination area.  The blue awning-tarp was used as crew quarters.  Our tractor trailer was airconditioned and contained medications as well as other supplies.  The AmBus was stationed for mass victim transportation should it have been need and caries 8 litters.
